You Might Be a Gun Nut… ...if you alternate Silvertips and Hydra-Shocks in your magazines because they look prettier that way. ...if you and your new father-in-law go to a gun show on your wedding day. ...if you calculate range and wind drift whenever you look at road signs. ...if your driver's license says "must wear night-vision goggles." - author unknown Funny But Not Funny… - The October 11, 2001 Jackson County (Colorado) Star quotes a local police report: "A hunter shot a deer and was apparently trying to arrange his rifle on the antlers for a trophy photo when the gun fired, blowing off the man's thumb and part of his hand. When medical personnel arrived, the man had wrapped the wounded hand in duct tape." - The June 23, 2001 issue of the Arizona Daily Sun reported that the Arizona Fish and Game Commission unanimously turned down area newcomer Wallace Burford's $328.21 request for compensation. It seems that one of Arizona's 250,000 wild coyotes had killed and eaten his cat. The commission also nixed Burford's suggestion that they should feed wild coyotes so they aren't as likely to prey on pets.
