Symptoms & Repair Costs
If you have other questions, please e-mail me with your specific symptoms and please include your full model number with suffix (from the oven's tag) in your e-mail.
Disassembly & What To Send
First see our disassembly video below but note that your model's grille screws will be on the top front edge of the cover above the grille, not in the grille.
If you have any trouble getting the grille off once the screws are removed as per the video below, slide the hood vent grille to the left about 1/4", then then pull it forward. Be gentle. On some models there are L-shaped clips that fit into a slot to hold bottom of the vent.
Once your controller assembly is removed as per the video, please do not disassemble it further. These are extremely fragile.
Print & read our current repair form (PDF version) for payment info, shipping address, terms, and other details, fill out the form neatly in clear print, include your prepayment, and pack everything in a sturdy box with at least 2" of clearance on all sides (not a thin "shirt" type box) with the open space protected by good cushioning like bubble wrap or packing peanuts.
Please do not use shredded paper or cardboard as packing material.
I would recommend insuring your package for $750 - $1,200 replacement value, depending on the model.
Please note that the display bezels / overlay sheets on these units are made opaque in spots by a substance like toner, kind of a powdered paint. In many cases, disassembly causes some marring of this paint. I do install PVC tape in its place, but there will still be a slight but noticeable difference in color, resulting in cosmetic imperfection, plus the bezel plastic may also be wrinkled. This cannot be avoided or corrected.
