MISSION STATEMENT: We
strive to provide affordable component-level
repair of microwave oven displays, control panels, and
circuit boards (ideally within 2-3 weeks, but of course subject to
workload backlogs and part order delays) with the aim of
correcting and preventing failures while standing behind our work with
a one-year repair guarantee.
IMPORTANT: By utilizing this site
or using our services, you are agreeing to our terms of service as outlined on
our pages and agree to hold the site
owners harmless and blameless for any consequences arising from your
decision to take apart or inspect your microwave oven. See these
important
safety warnings before you proceed.
Shipping Insurance:
I suggest the customer purchase shipping insurance for all shipments to me. I
use insured US Postal Service Priority Mail unless the customer specifies
otherwise and covers any difference. I always insure your returned package for
replacement value or higher for the whole microwave if it's lost or damaged.
USPS policies generally cover only a depreciated value as they define it.
Providing their insurance coverage and filing a claim when necessary represents
the limit of my liability once the package leaves my hands. Please understand
that you are agreeing to these term along with the others specified on my site
when you choose to utilize my service.

KUDOS
FROM
CUSTOMERS...
Less than
10 minutes each time to dismantle and reassemble, very easy. Everything
works perfectly! Thanks so much for your help. I estimate that you
saved
us at least $200 over a service call, who would have either charged us
for a new board ($120+labor) or suggested an entirely new unit. What a
refreshing change to not throw things away. We will pass the word on
and recommend you to
others! - Derek B.
I would
just like to thank you for the service you provided us. I found your
web site after a being shocked by a local serviceman
telling me that
our microwave repair would cost upwards of $650 !! Your web site was
the first that appeared in my google search for a
microwave display
repair. Your site provided exact instructions on how to disassemble the
control panel. Shortly after shipping it to you, our panel was back and
the microwave was working flawlessly. Again- thank you very much. I
will surely recommend your service to others. - Robert G.
What safety
issues are there?(top)
Microwave ovens can be lethal. You must
disconnect the oven from the power line before taking it apart! Please
understand that by utilizing our services you alone assume all
liability for any consequences arising from your decision to take apart
& reassemble your microwave oven. Here are some important
safety
warnings.
Can water suddenly explode in a
microwave?(top) Yes.
It's rare, but can cause serious injury!
For more info, read this article.
What
do you fix?(top)
We repair dead or dying microwave oven controller assemblies with bad or
failing displays or other problems,
including "dead" boards. They may be missing segments or characters,
flickering, or garbled. We fix them.
Why not just replace the display or
the board?(top) It's usually not needed, it's pretty
expensive, and the new board will probably fail the same way. Our proprietary
repairs and modifications are designed to leave your controller better
than new & more robust! So, our work is designed to not only repair your
problems, but to prevent them! (These
are our professional opinions based on many years of experience.)
How much do repairs cost?(top) Our normal repair charge to fix a
display is $54.95 - $39.95 for labor and incidental small parts, plus $15 for
insured return shipping. If you
are paying by check, it's best to include a check for $54.95 payable to "William
E. Miller". I'll contact you for approval if the charges vary from that.
If paying by credit card or PayPal, we will
contact you with the appropriate total for repair cost plus the shipping charge.
If your unit is particularly expensive or no longer replaceable, a charge will
be added for shipping insurance.
If your unit needs a part or parts which have
significant cost, we will contact you with an estimate first.
Please include your well-packed
controller assembly & our
repair form.
We do not hold up repairs for check clearance, so
sending a check will not cause a delay. If repairs will
cost more than your prepayment, we'll inform you for your approval
before proceeding.
What if it can't be fixed or it's too
much?(top) You're actually risking just
the cost of shipping! If you decide not to have it fixed, or
you decide it is not economical to repair, no problem. We can return
your controller assembly along with a refund minus return shipping. Or you can have
us dispose of your defective controller assembly and we'll refund your
entire payment.
How long does it take?(top) We try to ship your controller assembly back within
1-2 weeks. Sometimes our workload or part order needs will add
time to that. We do understand how important your microwave is to you!
What's the
repair warranty?(top) One full year.
As is customary, our one-year repair guarantee does not cover any subsequent
unauthorized repair
attempts, tampering, lightning, power line surges, physical damage, or
other outside damage. If you have repairs done & develop
another problem, you may e-mail us
first with details so we can advise you, or simply return the unit with
our
repair form
marked "REWORK" across the top. We give reworks expedited
handling with no waiting in line! We will then repair your unit with no
additional labor charges. In some limited cases, parts may be required for which
you would be charged, but we will contact you for your approval before
proceeding.
What brands?(top)
All brands, really. While Admiral, Amana, Dacor, Dometic, G.E. / GE /
General Electric, LG / Goldstar Panasonic Sears Kenmore & Sharp
are the most common, we'll consider any brand. Please let us know your
exact brand & model number if you contact us.
What models?(top) Just about any model with an LCD (liquid crystal
display) type
display. If you have a VFD (vacuum fluorescent display) type display that's dim or out, we can repair
those too. Feel free to e-mail us. Even
though we list many models on this page, that's not all we repair! Ask
us if we can help!
We
need the entire controller assembly which includes the
plastic frame with keypad, the display, the control circuit board,
& the "power board".
Once
you remove your control panel assembly, please don't disassemble it any
further.
Please
do not try to take the display itself apart. Expensive damage can occur.
Some
ovens are "touch on door" models and they have the assembly built in to the front
door cover! Details of all this and photos are shown elsewhere on this
page under "touch on door" info.
We
also need a completed copy of our
repair form
& your check or money order.
R1500-series & R1405, R1406
series ovens - removing the grille remove three screws & carefully
lift grille up & out (once grille is removed, you will see
the single screw
at the top of the plastic control panel frame)
R1500-series & R1405, R1406
series ovens - what to send click for full-sized photo
Disassembly Hint: In addition to or instead
of a screw, the control panel frame it may be held in place by a metal
catch which is built-in to the chassis of the oven. The catch prevents
to panel from lifting up. Bend the catch out of the way & you
can lift off the control panel. When you reassemble the unit, bend the
catch back in place. If it breaks, remove it & discard it, then
insert a screw if not present.
Some
models use an tamper-resistant screw which can be removed with a
specially-designed tool available from home improvement stores
& appliance parts stores. But some folks just use a hammer to
tap and loosen the screw, then a "star", t-type, or small flathead
screwdriver can be used to remove the screw.
this
detailed photo shows how a small screwdriver fits into the screw head
Sometimes
the screws are tough, so you may only be able to just bend the post
slightly with a punch, then a small flat blade will "grab" enough to
turn the screw. Pliers on the handle will help, too.
Another
creative solution is to use a hacksaw or a Dremel tool to carefully cut
a slot in the head so a flat blade will fit it.
NOTE:
Always be sure to put any silver-colored cover screws back in the same
holes they came from. They are often used to ensure a good safety
ground from the cover to the chassis!
Can I send the whole microwave oven?(top)
Yes. Some customers prefer to send the entire microwave for service. It
actually can be economical to do this, especially if it's a convection
or over-the-counter model or if you ship it using Parcel Post from the
Post Office.
You
must include extra to your prepayment to cover the additional return
shipping costs, depending on the package's weight & your State.
How do I ship it?(top) We recommend a sturdy
corrugated cardboard box (please - not an envelope or
thin shoe box) with at least 1" of packing material such
as peanuts, bubble wrap, etc. surrounding the unit. It is not necessary
to use anti-static material on an assembled board, but it won't hurt,
especially in winter or other times of low humidity.
Insurance
is for your protection & is optional, but we assume no
liability if your uninsured package arrives damaged.
We
recommend you insure your package for $150 & mark it "FRAGILE".
We
accept shipments from any carrier, but for shipping convenience, we
recommend Click-N-Ship
from the US Post Office using Priority Mail or Express Mail with free
Delivery Confirmation online! See
https://cns.usps.com/ for details.
What countries do you serve?(top)
Normally US & Canadian addresses, but we'll consider others if
you calculate and include the extra funds for return shipping based on
where you are & how you ship it. Canadian customers will need
to add $25 for shipping back to Canada.
My
turntable / carousel is not turning. What's wrong?
I
would first suspect that you have a broken turntable coupler. You can
check this by taking out the glass turntable, and gently trying to
wiggle the little square-headed device (see photo below) that drives
the turntable.
If
the coupler feels loose, it's probably broken.
If
it feels tight, grip it very firmly with your fingers and try to turn a
little it as if you were imitating the motor. If it turns the motor,
you'll hear the whining sound made by the motor gears. That would mean
your coupling is probably okay. It takes a little force to turn it.
If
it doesn't turn, you may not be turning enough, or the coupler may be
bad. You will probably need to remove the motor to check the coupling.
We
repair circuit boards to component level. We don't replace circuit
boards unless we have to.
If
while cooking, your microwave stops after one minute, or at an even
minute, or any other specific interval, it usually means a bad
microprocessor IC. Most of these from old models are no longer
available, but you can check by model number at Tritronics. If the part is available, we can repair it.
If
the hood lamps / under range lamps / hood lights / work lights/ on your
Amana, Dacor, GE G.E. General Electric. Panasonic, Quasar, Samsung,
Sharp or other microwave oven are not working, we repair these, too.
Need
do-it-yourself tips on diagnosis & repair? Some problems (not
display problems or component-level troubleshooting) can be repaired by
a do-it-yourselfer with proper information & careful work. See
our tips page.
Please
let us know your exact brand & model number if you inquire via
e-mail.
If
you have bad keys / keypad, poor heat or no heat, a lost / obsolete
turntable tray (carousel), broken buttons, weak display, locked control panel, can't set the
clock, etc., continue reading this FAQ list or feel free to contact us
for advice.
NOTE: Some one-touch features such as "MINUTE PLUS" are
disabled after three minutes when the oven is not used. These features
are automatically enabled again when the door is opened and closed or
when the STOP/CLEAR button is pressed.
Q. I was wondering if you could steer
me in the right direction. I have a Sharp R-1490 over the stove
microwave oven. I came home today and the door is wide open and the
light is on. It seems that the spring that holds the two door catches
down is not working. Is this something that can be repaired at home or
must it be serviced by an authorized repair center?
A.
It would require disassembly of the door but not door removal.
There
is a part inside the door called the latch head, and its "hooks" extend
from the door to hold it to the latch hooks (door switch holders)
inside the microwave. (The part names are a bit contradictory!)
On
the latch head, there is a spot where a spring attaches to it. That
little piece of plastic has broken. The spring is still inside the door.
You
can drill a tiny hole near that spot and reinsert the spring. Or you
can use epoxy (not super glue) to reattach the spring.
Otherwise,
you can order a new latch head part # LSTPPB030MRF0 from Encompass
(formerly Tritronics) or you can call them toll-free at
866-779-5835.
(If
your model is not the same, please look up the correct latch head
at Encompass
(formerly Tritronics) or you can call them toll-free at
866-779-5835.
We
have a couple of service manuals on our site which are similar to your
model. They use the same type of part, so they can be useful to you:
Q. My microwave seems to heat large
items better than small items or it's inconsistent.(top)
A.
While this could indicate a problem with your oven, I always recommend
that you place food off-center on the turntable, not in the center.
If
the food is off-center, it gets better exposure to the microwave energy
than items placed in the center.
The
turntable's purpose is to move the food through the microwaves, which
is a stirring action. To put it another way, when you stir something,
do you keep the spoon in the middle?
Also,
putting certain food items (especially microwave popcorn) in the center
of the turntable will repeatedly subject the same spot to intense heat,
eventually causing the glass turntable to crack!.
This
sort of arrangement can be a good temporary substitute until a suitable
replacement tray can be found, or even a permanent solution.
Place
a microwave-safe saucer upside-down over your roller ring / turntable
support assembly. Then place a microwave-safe plate right side-up atop
the saucer. You can also use another
glass turntable tray that doesn't fit instead of the plate.
Be
sure both are centered, checking them frequently to be sure shifting
does not occur. Otherwise, a spill of hot material could result. Safety
first!
Another
option is to check eBay or Wal-Mart and other stores to see if they
have a Rubbermaid or Nordic Ware (NordicWare) wind-up turntable like
this "Micro-Go-Round".
We
can fix broken buttons with a new and improved button assembly at the
same time we fix your display. Please add $15 to the normal repair cost as
discussed above.
OR
to do it yourself, order a new and improved button assembly:

We regularly fix that problem, too. The lights over your rangetop are
controlled by the circuit board.
We
can repair this on most any brand, such as Sharp, Amana, Dacor, GE G.E.
General Electric, Panasonic, Whirlpool, Roper, Kenmore, Quasar.
Please
note that it is recommended that you always unplug the power
to your microwave before you change bulbs. Please check your
bulbs and sockets before sending your control panel assembly for repair.
My
display
says "LOCK" or "CHILD LOCK!" & I can't do anything! (top)
Press
the "Custom Help" pad and follow the on-screen instructions to
unlock the oven.
Some
other brands & models have a sliding lock switch located on the
bottom edge of the control panel frame. Or you may be able to hold the
CLEAR or OFF or STOP button for three to five seconds to get it to
unlock.
If
you still have trouble, call Sharp Customer Service at 1-800-BE-SHARP
& have your model number handy. If yours is another brand, see
my tips page for phone numbers to call.
The
child lock may be set. Press CUSTOM HELP button at the top right and
then follow the instructions to turn off the child lock. To set the
clock on a Sharp-made microwave, you generally do one of two things:
A.Press the TIMER / CLOCK button below the
9 button. Press the numbers corresponding to the time of day. Press the
TIMER / CLOCK button again. - OR - B.
Press the TIMER / CLOCK button below the 9 button. Press the number 2
to set the time of day. Press the numbers corresponding to the time of
day. Press the TIMER / CLOCK button again.
If
this does not work, you may have some moisture in the works. This is
usually caused by spraying cleaner on the keypad (a big no-no!) instead
of on the cleaning cloth. Or you may have a defective keypad.
Once
you look into this, if you still have trouble, please let us know.

Q.
My microwave runs about a minute (or 59 seconds) then stops. If I hit
START again, it runs another minute then stops again.
A.
I'd bet it's a convection type microwave, and chances are you have a
bad damper switch, damper motor, wiring, or an obstruction of the
damper door.
Depending
on the brand, you can usually find exploded view diagrams and order
parts here or here. Here's a sample photo of a damper system:

TURNTABLE
TIPS:
- I
recommend you place food OFF-CENTER on the turntable, not in the
center. If the food is off-center, I feel it gets better exposure to
the microwave energy than items placed in the center. The turntable's
purpose is to move the food through microwaves, which is a stirring
action. After all, when you stir something, do you ever just keep the
spoon in the middle?
- Is your turntable missing or broken? Here's is a quick and effective
substitute: Place a microwave-safe saucer upside-down over your roller
ring / turntable support assembly. Then place a microwave-safe plate
right side-up atop the saucer. Be sure both are centered, checking them
frequently to be sure shifting does not occur. Otherwise, a spill of

Samsung SMH7175 SMH7178 removal disassembly of
control panel assembly: The hardest part was trying to figure out how
to remove the vent grille. As it turns out there are two Philips head
screws on the very top of the outside of the cabinet above the vent.
When they're removed the vent grille just snaps out. Then remove one
screw (which holds the control panel in place) on the top far right
above the control panel. Once that screw is removed the panel
tilts out so you can disconnect the wires and then slip it out.

MORE KUDOS
FROM OUR CUSTOMERS...
I just wanted to say how much I
appreciate you . We got our part back today put it back in and it works
so good. You just don't know how much of a God sent you
were. We are moving out of our house tomorrow and this had to be fixed
and we
couldn't get the part to fix it, they don't stock them anymore. So I
thank God for you and that you are trustworthy and do just what you say
you will and more. I tried to look on the web site for testimonies,
didn't see a place. If you can post this please do. AGAIN THANKS SO
MUCH !!!!!! - Joyce S
Everything worked well. Our
microwave is up and running. Thanks for superior service and integrity.
- Karen B.
As
a professional in the
electronics repair industry, I appreciate the fast service that
MicrowaveDisplay.com provided this summer. Our Sharp
microwave's
display is like new and I couldn't be happier. The kitchen
has
it's clock back too! - Bob L.
I
just wanted to thank you for repairing my Dacor microwave display
board....we received it today and just installed the board and it works
like a charm. Just wanted to tell you how much we appreciate your
service. - Madonna B.
Just
wanted to let you know that I
received my repaired microwave control unit today. With the help of
your instructions I installed it in 5 minutes and it works perfectly.
Thank you so much for your great service. It was a
pleasure doing business with you and I will certainly
contact you again should a similar problem arise. - Robert K.
Without
your help, I would have needed to remove the microwave from above the
range, purchase another microwave to replace it, and in the process
drill more holes in my cabinets. Then I would have needed to find a way
to dispose of the old microwave. (I) saved about $300 and 2 hours
labor. - Donald S
I received my repaired
display unit yesterday and installed
it right away. It functions perfectly. Thank you very much for your
service. You deliver very
high quality at an affordable price. I do
not think I would have had such pleasing results had I employed a local
appliance repair service. It is hard to
find a company that has much
experience in microwave oven repair. Until I found your site on the
web, I was afraid we might have to replace the whole
appliance. Thanks - Andy
Thanks
for repairing our control panel. It arrived
& is working like new (9 years old). It is very gratifying to
find
a repair facilities that does great work at a reasonable price. SO MUCH
BETTER to repair an appliance than to throw it out and replace with a
lower quality new one. I'll be recommending you. Keep up the good work.
- Jon R.
I received my repaired microwave
panel in the mail and
re-installed it last night. It works PERFECTLY! We just sold our house
and we close on Friday. Thank you so very much for putting a rush on it
and getting it back to me so quickly and REPAIRED! I wish we had known
about your company for the past year that we have had a broken display
panel. Your video was absolutely perfect in explaining how to take the
panel off and that was so smart to recommend photos before taking off
the wires. I am not so good at home repairs but you made this one easy,
AND you saved me about $400 for a new microwave. $39.95 was a deal!
Thank you so very much and feel free to use my comments on your
website. I am thoroughly impressed and appreciative. - Kristan T.
I
am just so happy to see the little chef again! I have been impressed
with your excellent service and am so happy to have found you. -
William L.
Mr.
Miller, I just want to thank you for repairing our microwave PC board
(we are the humming microwave). I finished installing it
yesterday and
everything is running fine. Great work you saved us a lot of
money by
not having to replace the whole unit (oven & microwave). We
will be
forever grateful. Thanks again. - Jorge & Ybel A.
Thank you very much William.
Just want you to know that you do a great job and I make sure that I tell everybody
about you. - Andy P.
I
want to thank you for inspiring a 74 year old guy to try something new!
If anyone else needs one fixed I am going to refer them to your
website. - Robert T.
You
do a very good thing. At Sharp’s price for a display it would be hard
to justify repair the oven on economic considerations. We sure don’t
need more of these things in the landfill. You at least have lengthened
the path to the landfill. In addition to saving folks like me a bunch
of money you are doing good for the earth. - Phil K.
We
recieved the control panel to our microwave that you repaired, it went
back in no problem (thanks to your instructions) and works perfectly.
The Sharp-recommended repair shop here in Colorado Springs didn't even
bother to return my call so my wife and I were resigned to having to
buy a new microwave when I by chance came across your web page. Thanks
for providing prompt and reasonably priced service. Most appreciated. -
Marco
Thanks
again. You really know your stuff. Works like a charm. - Flyholm
I
received the repaired display/control unit for my Sharp R320 microwave
and reinstalled it. The display works great and the schematic

great service! I will refer your site to others. - Tim S.
Thank
you so much for the EXCELLENT service and repair on my microwave unit..
You are just one of those "un-known secrets" out there that literally
thousands of consumers need to know about. - Arthur N.
THANK
YOU SO MUCH!! I will pass on your site to others. You have been so
helpful. Now maybe I can use this machine. - Karen V.
Thank
you Mr Miller for your service that you performed on my Sharp
microwave. We looked for a replacement unit for our Sharp microwave,
but we wanted the same silver color and size plus all the features we
have. Not happy at what we saw. You filled our repair needs and now we
are back in service with a panel that is bright as new and finally we
can read it. What a bargain also. Thank you. - Larry M.
Hi
William! I just wanted to let you know I received and installed my

William
- I just wanted to take a moment of your time to thank you for the
prompt service on my control panel repair. I can’t believe I dealt with
a faulty microwave display for more than a year before I found your
service. Considering my microwave is surrounded by a tiled backsplash
using your service no doubt saved me hundreds, if not a thousand
dollars, on the removal and installation of a new microwave. Thanks
again and best of luck in future endeavors. - Scott H.
Thanks
for a GREAT repair and FAST delivery. Works like new! - Tom O.
We
received the controle panel yesterday and installed it and it works
great! Thanks again for the GREAT service. - Jeff T.

received the repaired display, and everything works perfectly. Thanks
for the quick turn around time! - Kevin
Received
my microwave panel back from you and am very pleased with the result of
the repairs. My wife has a eye condition that limits her ability to see
the key pad plainly. This was why we were so determined to have the
panel fixed she is used to that keypad. Thanks so much for the prompt
repairs and return of our unit. (W)e could not be happier! - Curtis
I
just installed the repaired panel to my microwave and it works great!

You
saved me a ton of money and installation time and trouble. We need more
people like YOU in today's disposable society. You are doing a great
service to people that live on a fixed income's as well as the
"greening" of America. - Richard P.
Just
wanted to thank you for your excellent and affordable service.
Helpful before the repair, very quick turnaround, and needless to say,
the display works perfectly now. - Bob W.
Your
process was effective and efficient. The display works well.
I will keep you card, suggest your service to others, and use your
service again the next time a display goes out. A satisfied customer. -
Bob H.
Thank
you for fixing my microwave panel. It works beautifully. It's nice to
know there are people who are willing and able to fix things instead of
throwing them out. Everyone has a "disposable" mentality these days,
and there is too much waste. - Robert T.
I'm
eating a hot lunch thanks to your handiwork!! The door arrived late
this AM and after reassembling, it works perfectly. - Lew
I
received the controller today and got it installed. It works great!
Thank you for your help in fixing it. You saved me from replacing the
whole thing. I wasn't about to spend almost $200 for a new controller
when the microwave only cost about $280 brand new. - Randall W.
Just
wanted to thank you for fixing our microwave. Received the part
yesterday and it works great! - Chuck Y.
Display
looks great! Nice job! - John H.
Received
the repaired display panel for our Sharp Microwave yesterday. My
husband reinstalled it, and it works!! You are to be highly commended
for offering a reasonable solution - and alternative - to throwing a
relatively new (3 years) microwave on the junk pile. I called the
closest "Authorized Sharp Repair Center" before suggesting to my
husband that we check our your service - they basically told me it
wasn't worth fixing! Can you believe that? I found your service by
googling "Sharp - microwave - panel - display - repair." We love this
microwave - and are delighted to have found an inexpensive answer to
saving it's poor little life. Thanks - if you ever need a testimonial,
you can count on us! - Kathi & Burt W
Thank
you very much for repairing my Sharp microwave display! It arrived
yesterday by mail and I installed it; now everything is working as good
as new. My wife was skeptical when I told her I was sending part of our
microwave to a guy I found on the Internet, but she too is very
grateful now! Since this model is built into our cabinets, replacement
would surely have cost us around $1000. - David D.
The
Sharp R-820BK LCD control panel is back in our microwave / convection
oven and I've reinstalled it back in the motorhome. The display works
perfectly. Thank you for a cost-effective and excellent repair. We will
no longer have to guess if we entered the cook time / temp / etc.
correctly. GREAT JOB!!!! - Steve L.
It
arrived Saturday. Looking good! - Ken D.
I
just wanted to let you know ... my panel arrived safely and my
microwave is working perfectly again. Thank you so mush for your
advise, not to mention your quality work, quick turnaround and very
reasonable price. A++++ all the way around. - Josh
Thanks
again for your suggestion. I went home & found that indeed GE
didn't supply a mesh RF filter / gasket with the new magnetron they
sent. Why they don't do this, I don't know; but I did pull the old one
off the bad magnetron & put it on the new one, and presto! It
seems to have worked this morning, on two trial runs where it would've
failed earlier. So I think you had the answer, and I am most grateful
to you. - Jonathan E.
Thank
you for your fast service fixing the display on our Sharp microwave. We
were selling the house it is in and your service saved us from having
to buy a new one :) The part arrived just in time. - Amy B.
I
received the repaired control panel for my Sharp R-530BW today,
re-installed it, and I'm back in business! Thanks for the great
service! The only glitch I experienced was during the dis-assembly
process: I consider myself fairly handy, but I had NEVER encountered
the "screws from hell"!!! The service manual pdf said nothing about
them either. Two tamper-proof screws on the rear of the oven: Torx with
center pins! Fortunately they were on the side opposite the control
panel and I was able to bend the important side of the case up enough
to access the panel screw and wiring without damage. - Ray C.
We
received the fixed circuit board last week and are extremely happy with
your work and the promptness in which you fixed and returned this to
us. It is working perfectly. We will keep your information on file and
recommend you whenever we can. Thanks again! - Fred Q.
I
received the board today and it works great. Thank you for your
excellent service. - Mike L.
Got
it!! Installed and working. Thank you VERY much!! Now I can get this
lady on the road back to Denver! - Brian W.
(note:
The lady had bought his RV, which included the microwave!)
Just
wanted to say that it was very nice of you to come back to me with the
advice. A very nice thing for you to have taken the time to help me
out... just a little unusual now-a-days and very much appreciated.
Thanks very much! - Jim R.
We
received our panel today, and installed it immediately. We were like
children with a newly gotten toy. When we finally plugged it in, all
was right with the world once more. It works great, and feels like new
again. Having a display again gives us a new sense of control, and a
clock again. We hope you stay in this business for many years to come,
because you are a life saver. Not to mention a money saver. $150.00
would have been a bit much just to get the same old obsolete board,
that would have winked out again from Sharp. We will tell all who we
know of your microwave prowess. - Tim E.
Thank
you so much for helping me with the impossible repair. My wife will be
so happy as this is the unit that she knows how to operate & it
is the one that will still fit in the built in cabinet. - Harold A.
Received
the repaired display segment for my Sharp oven, reinstalled it and it

My
repaired control panel arrived in today's mail. Installed, it works
fine and wife is quite happy! Thank you so much. The first one lasted
one year, the microwave was replaced under warranty, and it lasted one
year. Hopefully, your repair will last longer!! - Will T.
Thanks.
Works better than new. - Don F.
Thank
you! It seems to be working great! - Tracie W.
The
part arrived today in great shape and works like a charm! We are most
grateful for your service. - Roy B.
I
received it today. It works like a champ. Thanks! - Joseph W.
I
received the panel, reinstalled it, and it works like a champ. Thanks a
bunch. - Sid S.
I
received and installed the control panel that you repaired and it works
great. I just wanted to let you know that I didn't think people like
you still existed. Everyone I asked around here told me to just buy a
new microwave oven. It seemed such a waste. I hope to be able to steer
some people your way in the future. - Jacob D.
I
received my Sharp Keypad today and have it reinstalled. It works Great
! I "Thank You very Much" and will keep your business card for any
future problems and I will refer you to anyone that has problems ! -
Joe H.
Hello
Mr. Miller - the repaired control panel was delivered yesterday,
re-installed last night, works great! Thank you again! BTW, I also
mentioned your repair service to several co-workers over lunch, will
give one of them your business card Monday. He sounded interested,
hopefully, you'll have another satisfied customer. - George F.
We
got the panel back and it works!!! Thanks!!! - James
Many
thanks! I will certainly pass on your services to anyone I come across
with microwave issues. In fact, my sister's inlaws have the same model
as I do, and they've had similar problems in the past, so I will
definitely get this information to them. When we reinstall the panel,
we will give the fan a drop of WD-40 as you suggest and I'll let you
know if I have any further problems. - Cecile C.
(and
this follow-up)
I
received the panel on Friday and we installed it today. So far so good!
Or, should I say, great! The noise is gone. My brother had heard it as
well and is absolutely certain it is no longer there, and it sounds
like a regular microwave. We think there just wasn't enough "juice"
getting to something, like the turntable, if that makes any sense. The
fan sounds normal. Anyhow, it heated a cup of water properly, and I've
used it for one food item, and all seems well. The display is also
working properly. Thank you again for your service on this, I really
hated the thought of getting a new one, as I really like the style of
this Sharp and I will let you know if I have any further issues. And
I'll be sure to pass your information to anyone I know who may need it.
- Cecile C.

The
control panel was received Saturday. It is working fine. Thank you very
much. We will recommend your services to anyone who needs it!!! - Kevin
M.
All
I can say is WOW! I am so lucky to have found your Web site. I was
ready to either throw out that piece of Dacor junk or God forbid, plunk
down $300 for a new control board. I popped it back in and like magic -
Good as new! I wish you very long continued success. You have found a
valuable niche. I just hope more Dacor owner's can find you. Again -
Many thanks! If you need a reference, just ask! - Kevin T.
I
just had to let you know how much I appreciate your response to my
concern. You have no idea how much it has been bothering me, wondering
if i had correct information in the first place. Thanks so much for
your service. I have saved your website into my "favorites" and will
definitely refer everyone I know to you. People don't usually give
something for nothing anymore. It's nice to see you do! - Dian C.

I
wanted to write and express our extreme pleasure in the quality and
timeliness of your repair work on our Sharp Microwave display. We
received the unit back in just a few days after it was delivered to
you, and it installed without any problems. It's been working great all
week, so we thank you for the speedy repair. The work you did is
clearly top-notch. As my wife said: "It was the best $32 we ever
spent!" - Steve W.
I
just received my Sharp microwave faceplate back from you. Works
perfectly. I can't hardly believe that I got it repaired (at your low
price). The repair places wanted over $100.00 plus labor. I will keep
your card and share it with anybody who I run across with the same
problem as I. - Mike W.

William,
I recieved my power panel from you today. You were right about the high
voltage rectifier diode being defective, it was shorted. I ordered the
part from Tritronics and installed the repaired power panel. It works
great! I just hope it will last, I was disappointed with Sharp for
having this problem with a relatively new microwave. I enjoy fixing
things myself whenever I can, thanks for your help, tips, and repair
manual! - Michael D.
I
got my control panel back with new display and button assy and it's
good to have my microwave back in service. Thank you for good service!

today you get a cold shoulder when asking for help and you went
overboard. - Fred L
